Saturday, May 9th, 2009InDesign CS4 in the house…
Saturday, May 9th, 2009So I finally did it, I’ve upgraded to CS4 and I’m looking forward to all the new fun stuff that’s available. In upgrading to CS4, just also wanted to let you all know that I’ll be posting a new set of templates for albums that will be called, ID sophistocate. Something a bit different, but very cool and I think everyone will appreciate this new direction. Something very cool is coming this way….stay posted…
Other products coming very soon, keep visiting our blog for updates. Now that wedding season is slowing down for us because of Vegas’ insane heat, I’ll be more regular about updating the blog twice a week.
Happy Designing! Trish
Ready for Shortcuts to Add Speed to Workflow?
Friday, May 1st, 2009In creating album designs, one of the greatest tools we have are keyboard short cuts. Although I don’t go over them in my instructional dvd because I do my best to keep things very simple so absolutely anyone of any level of computer knowledge can use InDesign, I use them and over use them every chance I get. Here are some very simple ones to get you started and get you into a rhythm so that you can take the steps you’ve learned to build albums and now fine tune them to build speed.
Apple N = New Document
Apple O = Open Existing Document
Apple D = Place command
Apple S = Save Document
Shift Apple S = Save As
Apple E = Export Document
, = Apply Foreground Color to rectangle or frame

These are basically all of the standard commands in album building with our system, so change it up, try it out and see how it can really add efficiency to your workflow.
